constant waves.

Some days are rough. Some weeks are rough. And there are lots of ups and downs. Or you could call them mountains and valleys. Or waves. Because waves go up and down. (All the metaphors. Sorry.)
One of my favorite quotes is from Oswald Chambers: "I have learned to kiss the wave that slams me into the rock of ages."
Hallelujah for that. For that dreaded wave. Because honestly, if everything was easy (aka "smooth sailing") then we would never realize our constant need for Christ.
P.S. Here are some Oswald fun facts (thanks wikipedia):
1. He was Scottish.
2. He was a traveller - he died in Egypt.
3. He wrote a devotional, called My Utmost for His Highest (on my reading list).

5. Seriously, need I continue? Look up more and be inspired. Research people and their stories. I believe that's how we learn best.
